In today’s #showisdom blog series we interviewed healthy lifestyle role model, Cassie, a single mother, fashion, fitness and beauty blogger based out of Los Angeles, CA. She shares with us her tips on how to live a simple, healthy, organized life- sho lifestyles- sharing with us secrets on how she stays energized, beautiful and fit with her hectic lifestyle.
What does “healthy” mean to you?
Feeling good and being able to do the things I want to in life. It’s important to create a balance of eating right, exercising and being a role model for my child. I stay organized and discipline by creating daily schedules to keep myself organized between my fitness regime and my daugher’s activities to make sure I fit everything into my day.
How do you stay healthy in your busy day?
I stay healthy by taking walks and jogging every night with my daughter. My typical diet is comprised of salads, green juices and the occasional treat of pizza! I always take a multivitamin, probiotic (sho Balance) and B12 pill (sho Energy).
What challenges do you face in eating right, exercising or remembering to maintain daily healthy routines, e.g. take supplements?
I’m always challenged by my sweet tooth. I love candy and chocolates and really struggle to keep them out of my daily diet. I also struggle with being motivated to work out. I typically go thru spurts where I exercise daily and then times when I don’t for a week or two at a time. In order for me to combat these issues I have learned to give myself cheat days once a week where I can indulge in chocolate and candies. I also take 2 days off a week from working out. This allows me to keep a balance and stay on track. In order to feel energized for my runs and workouts I usually pop a shoEnergy+ which helps me motivate for an intense cardio workout.
What healthy tips and routines can you share?
I recommend always fitting a green juice into your day, taking your vitamins and supplements along with taking the stairs whenever possible to get some exercise in. Every little bit helps. To begin living a healthy lifestyle I recommend taking some vitamins and supplements and then building out an exercise routine overtime to assure you don’t overwhelm yourself and get burnt out quickly. Start with 10-minute routines and work your way up to one hour.
What do you love about Sho?
I love how convenient and small sho is along with being able to track what day you are taking sho. Sometimes it will be towards the end of the day and I can’t remember if I took my vitamin or not so I just skip that day. With sho, that never happens anymore and I am always on a daily healthy routine. I keep my sho supplements next to my bed and take it in the morning to get my day started.
How are you feeling about the effects of Sho?
No one likes to talk about their bowel movements and regularity but shoBalance has really revolutionized my gut health. I am now taking regular trips to the bathroom and feel much healthier.
How are you incorporating sho into your daily routine?
